The Oilerie puts its brand on the shelves thanks to Edikio Price Tag

The Oilerie, specialist food shop founded in 2003 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has pioneered the concept of a speciality olive oil shop in the United States. In this unique shop, vats of olive oils and balsamic vinegars are arranged side by side to allow customers to taste and compare the products. Once customers have chosen the oil or vinegar they prefer, The Oilerie staff bottle the premium product, offering a unique customer experience.

The Oilerie's innovative approach caught the attention of ABC's Shark Tank, which invited owner Curt Campbell to appear on the show in 2014.

Campbell and his team had previously used labelling guns to display the prices of their products. The crude look of the labelling obtained with this traditional in-store tool no longer suited them. The Oilerie's products are often given away as gifts, and yet they are not always the most popular. the gun's labels did not match the elegant aesthetic desired by the owners.

"We felt that scratching off the price labels on our products, not to mention the rest of the adhesive stuck on, was damaging our brand image," explains Campbell.

Campbell discovered Edikio at a food trade fair and was immediately won over. The company decided to purchase the Edikio Price Tag solution from Blanc Display Group, an authorised reseller of Edikio products.

The Oilerie has selected the Edikio Price Tag Flex for the big quality and ease of use offered. The labelling produced by the printer reflects the passion of the owners of The Oilerie for products of exceptional quality.

One of the things that caught Mr Campbell's interest was the exclusive Edikio Chalk typeface.

"We cultivate an image of a small European food shop," continues Campbell. "The Edikio Chalk font mimics handwriting in chalk, which perfectly evokes the old-fashioned charm we're looking for in our shop."

They have selected the Edikio Price Tag Flex model, an ideal solution for printing a wide range of products. large volumes of cards in standard format (credit card format - 85.6 x 54 mm - 0.76 mm thick) or long format (150 x 50 mm - 0.50 mm thick). The company is currently printing single-sided cards using the icons offered by the design software included with Edikio. She has chosen the standard white-on-black style to match the aesthetic and atmosphere of the shop, but Edikio Flex will also allow her to print in colour if she wishes.
