Evolis, the world leader in printing solutions for plastic cards, has developed three new all-in-one solutions for printing price labels on plastic cards, which meet the different needs of small independent food shops through to large retailers.

Say goodbye to the hassle of illegible, disparate labelling! With these office solutions for creating and printing price labels, retailers can display all the necessary consumer information in compliance with regulations: ingredients, prices, allergens (INCO), etc. A printing system on a plastic card means that durable, easy-to-clean labels can be created and printed in a matter of seconds. As well as saving time and complying with hygiene regulations, Edikio's solutions also offer the opportunity to rethink labels as genuine marketing tools: a harmonised, easy-to-read, clean and attractive display that reflects the professional image of the business.

3 solutions to meet all retailers' needs

All Edikio solutions are made up of label creation software, a card printer, blank plastic cards and a print ribbon, enabling labels to be printed quickly and independently on plastic. Labels can be created at any time, directly at the point of sale, individually or in batches.

Evolis offers three solutions to meet all the needs of food retail professionals:

  • Edikio Accessthe affordable solution for printing single-sided credit-card size labels in low volumes.
  • Edikio Flexthe flexible solution for printing price labels in long format and credit card format to suit different display needs.
  • Edikio Duplexthe advanced solution for double-sided, high-volume label printing. The reverse side can be used to display information for sales staff.

The printers work as simply as a standard office printer. The plastic cards and printing ribbon included in the Edikio pack are installed in a single step.

Intuitive, innovative software

The software, unique on the market, is the only one dedicated to managing prices and printing labels on plastic cards, and has been specially designed for the food trade (butchers, bakers, delicatessens, caterers, fishmongers, etc.). All versions of the software are easy to use, can be customised and can import price data via an Excel file.

The most advanced version of the software, "Edikio Pro", available with the Edikio Duplex solution, allows you to manage multi-user rights, which are necessary for the largest retailers.

Evolis offers a wide range of consumables that can be used in various combinations to display information:

  • Black "slate" style cards with white printing
  • White cards with monochrome printing in black, red, green or blue
  • Different card formats: credit card (54 x 85.6 mm), long (50 x 150mm and 50 x 120mm) or small (54 x 29mm) for labelling small products or adding a special mention: "New", "House speciality" or other.

New media to meet all retailers' needs

Evolis also offers a range of supports for displaying labels. These supports are adapted to standard displays: narrow or wide, magnetic, to be placed or stitched, allowing the junction of 2 cards, and specific to different trades such as bakery, butchery, delicatessen, fishmonger's or cheese factory.

Where to buy?

Evolis resellers offer on-site or remote installation and technical support. On average, half an hour is enough to install the system and train the user in its use. No IT expertise is required. The printer can be used for many other applications.

"Thanks to Evolis printers, personalized plastic cards can be used for other applications such as loyalty cards, gift cards or employee badges," explains Nathalie Clément, Market Manager at Evolis.
